About our Gowns

What makes a DARINA bridal gown different?

Each gown is made-to-order, designed with thoughtful elegance and tailored to your unique measurements. We don’t mass-produce—we craft intentionally, so every dress feels like it was meant for you alone.

Are your dresses truly made to my measurements?

Yes! Each gown is made according to the measurements you provide, ensuring a closer fit than standard sizing. While slight alterations may still be needed, your dress is custom-made from the start.

How long does it take to make my dress?

Our gowns typically take 4–6 weeks to complete, as each one is made by hand and given the time it deserves. International orders may take longer.

What is the price range of our gowns?

Our prices range from $2,000 to $5,000 depending on the dress and collection.

Can I see the fabric before I order?

We understand the importance of feeling confident in your choice. Fabric swatches are available upon request for select gowns—please contact us to arrange a sample delivery.

What if my body changes before the wedding?

We know that bodies shift—especially during emotionally significant seasons. We recommend taking your final measurements close to your order date. If you need support after receiving your gown, our team can guide you through alteration recommendations.

Can you help me decide between two gowns?

Absolutely. We’re happy to offer styling advice—email us with your shortlisted gowns and let us know what matters most to you. We’ll help you feel confident in your final decision.

Can I order now and send measurements later?

Yes. You may secure your gown and provide measurements later. We’ll follow up to ensure everything is submitted, and your gown production begins.

This process ensures you're supported, informed, and inspired—every step of the way.

Did you know? Even a half-inch difference in bust or waist measurements can affect the entire drape of a gown. That’s why precision—and preparation—make all the difference.

Alternative Measurement Methods

Measuring App

Here’s a quick and easy app to accurately determine your measurements.

Tailored to You: A Step-by-Step Guide

Below, you'll find a refined guide to each measurement—designed to help you take them with confidence, accuracy, and ease from the comfort of your home. Please have a friend or professional assist you to ensure accuracy. For clarity, when taking your measurements, please ensure to specify in your size form whether you're using centimeters (cm) or inches (in). This will help us ensure the perfect fit for your gown.

1. Shoulder to Shoulder

Measure from one shoulder bone (at the top of your arm) across your back to the other shoulder bone. This ensures the gown fits properly across the shoulders and neckline.

2. Shoulder to Bust

Measure from the top of your shoulder (where the shoulder seam would sit) down to the fullest part of your bust. This helps ensure the bodice fits perfectly.

3. Bust

Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, typically over the nipples.
Make sure the tape is flat against your back and parallel to the floor. Breathe normally and keep your arms relaxed at your sides.

4. Waist

Find the narrowest part of your waist—usually just above the belly button and below the ribcage.
Wrap the tape around this area and stand naturally, without sucking in your stomach.

5. Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks. This is usually 7–9 inches below your waist, depending on your body type.
Stand with your feet together and ensure the tape remains straight and snug, but not tight.

6. Navel to Top of Floor

Stand straight and measure from your navel (belly button) to the top of the floor. This helps ensure the correct length of your gown, especially for skirts with a more dramatic train.

7. Bicep

Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm (bicep). This measurement is important for designing sleeves or ensuring a perfect fit if your gown has sleeves.

8. Arm Length

With your arm slightly bent, measure from the top of your shoulder (where the sleeve will start) down to your wrist. This is essential for getting the sleeve length just right.

9. Between Collarbone to Navel

Measure from the hollow of your throat (center of the collarbone) straight down to your navel (belly button). This helps ensure the bodice sits comfortably and the gown's overall design complements your natural proportions.

10. Shoulder to Waist

Measure from the top of your shoulder down to your natural waistline (the narrowest part of your torso). This measurement is vital for achieving the perfect fit, particularly for structured gowns or corset designs.

11. Bust Separation

Measure between the fullest parts of your bust. This will help ensure that the bodice is designed to fit comfortably and flatteringly, with enough space for a seamless look.

12. Arm Hole

Measure around the area where your arm meets your shoulder and under your arm. This is important for ensuring the armhole is comfortable, especially in gowns with fitted sleeves or straps.

Additional Tips:

  1. Wear light, form-fitting clothing (or just undergarments) to get the most accurate measurements.
  2. Stand straight and breathe normally while measuring to get the natural contours of your body.
  3. Double-check all measurements to avoid mistakes. Having someone assist you will ensure accuracy.

Once you have collected your measurements, please submit them through the Bespoke Tailoring Form. Our design team will get to work on creating a custom gown that fits you beautifully. If you need any help with measuring, feel free to contact us — we're always here to assist!

Care and Preservation

How should you care for your dress before and after the wedding:

Caring for your wedding dress before and after the wedding is crucial to keep it in pristine condition. Here are some tips:

Before the Wedding
1. Storage: Keep your dress in a cool, dry place. Store it in a garment bag to protect it from dust, dirt, and light. Avoid hanging it by the straps to prevent stretching.
2. Avoid Wrinkles: If the dress gets wrinkled, have it professionally steamed instead of ironing it yourself.
3. Handle with Care: Always have clean hands when handling the dress to avoid transferring oils or dirt onto the fabric.
4. Keep Away from Pets and Food: Ensure that your dress is kept away from pets, food, or anything that could potentially stain it before the big day.

After the Wedding
1. Preservation: Once the wedding is over, get your dress cleaned and preserved as soon as possible. A professional dry cleaner specializing in wedding dresses will ensure it's treated delicately.
2. Storage: After cleaning, store your dress in an acid-free box or a special preservation bag to maintain its condition for years to come.
3. Avoid Humidity: Keep the preserved dress in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or humidity, to prevent yellowing or fabric deterioration.
4. Consider Displaying: If you'd like to keep the memory alive, consider framing part of the dress, or having it made into a keepsake piece, like a christening gown or pillow.

With proper care, your wedding dress can remain a cherished item for years to come.
